Creamfields 2023: A Spectacular Finale [Part 3]
(25-27th August 2023)
Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)
After an an unforgettable experience for electronic music enthusiasts from all corners of the globe over the past two days, it’s time for the finale.
Due to the adverse weather conditions from the previous night, many attendees relied on tractors to tow their cars to safety, as the North car park became unusable. As a result, day ticket holders were advised to park at Dreamfields and the festival started almost 2hrs late.
Having never camped at Creamfields before, this was an awesome experience to check out the Gold campsite.

We were able to catch the last few minutes of Maria Healy, who set the tone with her trance-infused beats. Her ethereal melodies combined with pulsating basslines drew early risers onto the dance floor, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere that foreshadowed the incredible day ahead.
Christina Novelli followed suit, delivering a powerhouse performance that showcased her vocal prowess and captivated the audience with her emotive lyrics. Her energy was infectious, and the crowd sang along with every word, creating a connection that resonated throughout the festival grounds.
We caught a little bit of Mauro Picotto, before heading out and checking the ground conditions of the festival. One of the mainstages was closed and few festival-goers waded in the drenches of mud to navigate around the fields. We crossed through Thelma’s performance to Goodgreef Xtra Hard, where Paul Clark was just finishing, and Phil Macintosh hammered out the tunes to many. The energy on the dance floor was electric, and the sense of unity among festivalgoers was palpable.

Sam Divine and Joel Corry brought the house down with their infectious sets, delivering chart-topping tracks that had everyone dancing and singing along. The festival was in full swing, and the excitement was no where near it’s peak yet.
Crossing through the Steel Yard to soak up more of the outstanding production, we caught Massano’s set, before making our way back to the Pepsi Max for Paul Oakenfold and Aly & Fila.
The crowd was treated to an auditory journey that spanned from classic anthems to cutting-edge tracks, keeping them on their toes and engaged in the music.

As the night sky darkened, the energy surged even higher with Will Atkinson and then later, Ben Gold taking command of the stage. Their sets were a masterclass in tech-house and uplifting trance, delivering unforgettable drops and basslines that shook the festival grounds.
We stuck to our half-hour schedule per DJ to see as many of the closing acts as possible, with Camelphat, Fatboy Slim, Solardo B2B Vintage Culture, Ciaran McAuley, Tiesto and Swedish House Mafia.
Camelphat closed the Steel Yard with a mesmorising performance, Fatboy Slim’s iconic tracks had everyone dancing with unbridled enthusiasm, Solardo B2B Vintage Culture kept the energy levels soaring with their back-to-back set, infusing the dance floor with infectious grooves and irresistible beats
Ciaran McAuley’s uplifting goodness, Tiesto’s anthemic tracks and Swedish House Mafia’s reunion were the ultimate climax, leaving the audience in a state of euphoria.
