Day 1 started with watching Amy Wiles who delivered her infectious energy and set the perfect tone for the festival. After catching up with her and her team afterwards, it was time for Nifra, who showcased her mastery of progressive and trance sounds.
I then went for a walk around the festival arena with friends, checking out every stage and listening to the variety of music on offer. We headed into the Mega Arena for some Darren Styles, whose set was a euphoric explosion of beats and melodies, leaving the crowd buzzing with excitement. Then I wandered into Steel Yard for Franky Wah, and caught Amelia Preston on the Arc Mainstage, before heading into the Andy C Presents area for none other than Andy C himself.

Then it was time to return to the Pepsi Max tent for a little bit of Trance Wax, whose skilful reimagining of classic trance tracks injected a burst of emotion onto the dancefloor. Ferry Corsten delivered a peak-energy set with timeless melodies and trance classics.
Time for the highlight of Friday, with John O’Callaghan. His performance was an absolute power-packed experience. His signature uplifting trance had the audience entranced, and his stage presence commanded the crowd’s unwavering attention.

A short listen of Craig Connelly’s performance, before refuelling at Wok Noodles, and doing another lap of the festival grounds. I stumbled into Steel Yard once again for Peggy Gou and watched Carl Cox’s Hybrid set for a short while.

I quickly checked out the Andy C Presents stage for Friction, before watching Martin Garrix’ set, adjourned with fireworks and CO2 blasts of air over the crowd.
As soon as the fireworks were done, a quick rush back to the Trance tent to catch the last few minutes of Gentech (Mark Sherry & Scot Project)’s set, and a quick chat afterwards.
Day 1 was packed out, and we’re just getting started…
