Before this review starts, we at HelloTrance want to wish a very Happy 13th Birthday to Trance Sanctuary!
Showcasing the best in London, TS moved from Ministry of Sound to London’s newest and most awe-inspiring visual experience; Outernet, located on Tottenham Court Road. Many visitors were star-struck at the giant visual screens upon queuing to get in, and after a bag check and ID search, it was time to celebrate!

Upon descending the staircase, fans were presented with a poster of every single Trance Sanctuary event over the past 13 years in full A3 colour.
It was wonderful to see so many DJs given a chance to showcase their DJ talent to the fans over the years.
On a personal note, my first Trance Sanctuary event was their 5th Birthday 🙂

Dan Stone kicked off the event in style. I missed his set at RONG last September, so hearing the Argento sounds from his performance was a wonderful setting, including those giant visuals behind him. The crowd responded enthusiastically to Stone’s progressive energy, dancing with unbridled joy as he took them on a journey into trance.

Next was Ferry Tayle, known as The Wizard to many. He captivated the audience with his emotive and uplifting sound, yet followed on beautifully by Dan Stone.
His set was full of IDs, and his ability to connect with the crowd through his music made his performance a standout moment of the night.

Alessandra Roncone and Andrea Ribeca joined forces for a back-to-back set that elevated the energy levels to new heights. I was intrigued to see how Alessandra’s fast-paced energy set would work with Andrea Ribeca’s NU-NRG sounds, but both skillfully mixed their tracks, keeping the dance floor in a constant state of euphoria.

Paul Denton and Will Rees stepped up the BPM, combining forces for a B2B set that added a dynamic edge to the event. Both DJs delivered a driving trance that kept everyone moving, even those who were navigating to the bars to keep refreshed.
I particularly liked their transitions and it set the night up perfectly for Aly & Fila.

Aly & Fila, the Egyptian trance legends, headlined the night and delivered a set that was nothing short of magical.
Their seamless blend of melodic tunes and powerful beats created an atmosphere of pure bliss, leaving the crowd in awe.

Their ability to connect with the audience and take them on a journey through uplifting melodies showcased why they are considered pioneers of the trance genre.
Highlight tunes that sent us back to our early days of raving were: Nubia Controls The Sunlight, Beyond The Lights, and FKN Ft. Jahala – Why?

Closing the night, Billy Gillies delivered a powerful set that kept the energy levels at their peak. His unique blend of tech and uplifting trance resonated with the crowd, bringing the event to a thrilling conclusion.
Everyone I spoke to said that Billy absolutely smashed it with his tune selection, and even ending on an uplifting rendition of Coldplay’s ‘Fix You’ that was my personal and a highlight to a great Trance Sanctuary birthday party!

Overall, Here at Outernet delivered a triumph for Trance Sanctuary and music lovers.
Many travelled from all over the world to witness this historic milestone, plus the diverse lineup of talented DJs, coupled with the excellence in production, created a night that will be etched in the memories of those fortunate enough to attend.
The event was a testament to the enduring allure of trance music and the skill of the artists who continue to push the boundaries of the genre.
Trance Sanctuary has two more events this year: their annual Friendz boat party on the River Thames this August and their Ministry of Sound event in November.
Special Thanks again for allowing us to cover your event, and we hope you enjoy our review.
