Dreamstate Records issues the second instalment of its recently launched compilation series with ‘Convergence Vol. 2,’ including new tracks from Tempo Giusto, Allen Watts, Indecent Noise, and Eddie Bitar.
Kicking off at the start of summer this year, Dreamstate’s ‘Convergence’ was conceived to look towards the connecting points of the various subgenres of trance music, highlight both established and exciting up-and-coming talent. For Volume 2, they fire up the afterburners with a solid four-track offering.
Tempo Giusto returns to the label with his aptly titled “Nitro,” a high-octane weapon built around a humming vocal hook, a catchy melody lead, psy-infused basslines, chugging percussive elements, and a bounce made for primetime. Dutch phenom Allen Watts steps in with his stunning creation “Pressure,” an uplifting instrumental marked by euphoric melodies, rising arps and haunting vocalizations.
Polish producer Indecent Noise has become familiar face on the catalog, and he hammers out a hard-edged techno-powered warehouse weapon with “Rave Killing Machine,” marked by dark rave stabs, thumping drums, shrilling synth leads and psy basslines. Closing out the affair is another regular fixture from the imprint, Canadian producer Eddie Bitar, offering up the dark progressive psy number “Dreams.”
